Quick solutions to the most frequently encountered issues in CraftRFP.

Running into problems? Here are solutions to the most common issues our users encounter.

Upload Issues

"File format not supported"

Solution: CraftRFP accepts PDF, DOCX, DOC, and TXT files. If your file is in another format:

  • Convert to PDF using your word processor
  • Copy the text and paste directly

"File too large"

Solution: Files must be under 10MB. To reduce size:

  • Compress images in the document
  • Remove unnecessary attachments
  • Split into multiple smaller files

"Upload failed"

Solution: Try these steps:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Refresh the page
  3. Try a different browser
  4. Clear browser cache

Generation Issues

"Generation taking too long"

Solution: Complex RFPs may take 2-3 minutes. If it exceeds 5 minutes:

  1. Refresh the page
  2. Check the Proposals list - it may have completed
  3. Try generating again

"Poor quality output"

Solution: Improve results by:

  • Uploading a cleaner RFP document
  • Adding more past proposals to your Proposal Brain
  • Using more specific generation settings
  • Providing additional context in the notes field

"Missing sections"

Solution: If the AI missed requirements:

  1. Check that the RFP text was fully uploaded
  2. Manually add the missing section
  3. Use "Regenerate" with specific instructions

Export Issues

"PDF looks different than preview"

Solution:

  • Use the PDF preview before downloading
  • Check your export template settings
  • Ensure custom fonts are supported

"Google Docs export failed"

Solution:

  1. Re-authenticate with Google
  2. Check that you have Google Drive space
  3. Try exporting to a different folder

Account Issues

"Can't log in"

Solution:

  1. Check your email address spelling
  2. Use "Forgot Password" to reset
  3. Clear browser cookies
  4. Try incognito/private mode

"Not receiving emails"

Solution:

  1. Check spam/junk folders
  2. Add noreply@craftrfp.com to contacts
  3. Check email filters
